We are pleased to announce, effective August 15, 2011, Theresa Bernard has been promoted to the Customer Service Manager at R.M. Sullivan Transportation, Inc. Theresa has been with our companies for 13 years with her most recent roll as Customer Service Representative.

In her new position, she will be responsible for managing the Customer Service departments of R.M. Sullivan Transportation, Inc. and Palmer Dedicated Logistics, LLC.

We value all our employees and are especially please to watch someone meet the challanges presented and grow into greater responsibilities. Please join us in congratulating Theresa on her new position.

New Scanning Technology

Palmer Dedicated, LLC has begun utilizing Intermec CN50 Wireless Scanners for in store deliveries for retail accounts. Congratulations to Cory Devine on his promotion to Warehouse Operations Manager at Industry Avenue effective June 13, 2011. Cory has been with the company since October 2010 and previously supervised the Industry Avenue Facility. Cory has a varied amount of experience in the Warehousing and Distribution industry. His leadership skills are a welcomed asset to the Warehousing division, the organization, and compliment the management structure. We are highly confident he will continue his successes within this organization in his new role.

Phillips-Van Heusen Awards 30 Additional Stores

Phillips-Van Heusen has announced that The Sullivan Companies has been awarded 30 additional New England stores. These new stores, located in eastern Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire, will begin receiving deliveries the week of January 10th, 2011. Our companies currently service 31 PVH stores in Connecticut, western Massachusetts and eastern New York.

Palmer Dedicated Logistics Adds Stretchwrap Machines

On March 16th, 2010 PDL added 2 new fully automated stretch machines to improve the efficiency of our pallet wrapping operation. These machines not only wrap each pallet faster, but apply an optimal number of wraps. PDL is continually looking for innovative ways to deliver our customers product damage free, on-time and at a fair rate. By utilizing these automated machines PDL will be able to reduce the amount of wrap apllied to an average pallet by almost 70%, which will reduce the amount of wrap that enters the waste stream.
