Palmer Dedicated Logistics Personnel Changes

Due to continued growth within the Palmer Dedicated Logistics, LLC organization, we are excited to announce the addition of Tom Peterson to our management staff as 3rd Shift Supervisor. Tom brings a strong back ground of managerial and operational experience. We are also pleased to announce that Joe Jasmin, 3rd Shift Supervisor, has been given opportunity to assume the responsibilities of 1st Shift Supervisor and Bed, Bed and Beyond Liaison. Joe has been with PDL for 2 years as 3rd Shift Supervisor and has extensive knowledge of Bed, Bath and Beyond’s operational requirements.
We wish both Tom and Joe success in their new responsibilities and look forward to their help in continuing to provide excellent service to our growing list of retail accounts.
Warehouse Personnel Changes

Congratulations to Tim Amalfa on his promotion to Vice President, Warehousing effective January 1st, 2010. Tim has been with the company since April 10th, 2006 and previously managed the Retail Distribution division. Tim has a large and varied amount of experience in the Warehousing and Distribution industry. His technical and leadership skills are a welcomed asset to the Warehousing division, the organization, and compliment the management structure. We are highly confident he will continue his successes within this organization in his new role.
We also bid a fond farewell to Rich Forbes, former Vice President Warehousing, upon his retirement. Rich had been with the company since June 8th, 1992. His guidance, business acumen, and spiritual convictions will sorely be missed. We wish the best of luck to Rich in all of his future endeavors.
Sulco new Machinery
October 1st, 2009
September 30th, 2009 saw the arrival of a very large piece of machinery at our rail siding at 311 Industry Ave., Springfield, MA. The 260,000 lb Ajax Press, shipped by CSX rail from Lansing, MI destined for Smith & Wesson, was off-loaded at our location by multiple heavy lift cranes and specialized transport equipment on October 1st. The location of our facilities provides advantages not only for warehousing and trucking transportation, but also provides local industry a convenient location for special projects such as this intermodal transfer.
New WMS System Implemented

Bringing increased efficiencies and looking forward to strategic growth, the newly implemented WMS package ACCELLOS was brought online at our Progress Ave. warehouse location on Monday August 17, 2009. This addition to our technology will provide interactive product information improvements to both the Sullivan Companies and customers. This facility is now 100% RF covered to allow for immediate stock transactions.
